In 2009 I flew to Marrakesh, Morocco as I had heard that the silversmiths in the legendary souk market are true masters of their craft. A friend had recommended a local senior silversmith and we soon began discussing options with him with the help of a translator. The old man created a perfect die-cut in the form of a butterfly. Back home I “married” the silver-plated box with the butterfly.
